Forget your boring tortise(hells) and blacks. Lace is the most beautiful thing in sunglasses now… literally! Lace has been in the blood of their work for luxury designers Dolce & Gabbana and they have embodied their signature lace with a glamourous new optical collection.

Lace has been wrapped in acetate plastic and hand cut to create the sophisticated styles with a sheer and chic simplicity complete with UV protection optical quality CR-39 lenses.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been selected as the face of this beautiful eye wear collection, with the campaign imagery shot by the amazing photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

How to wear this look;

- These glasses add a sophisticated statement to any outfit. Keep it simple, let the glasses express you.

My Look
- I would complete the sheer and chic look with a flowing maxi skirt. I’m currently loving the Pleated Maxi Skirt from Country Road ($149.95AU)
Pleated Maxi Skirt
Pair this skirt with a crisp, white business shirt. Cue has a great sleeveless one (perfect for spring/summer) ($95.00AU)

I’ld complete this with some simple but feminine leather sandals like these from Country Road ($119.00AU)

Leather Sandals
Keep your hair long and flowing this Spring/Summer - sun kissed tousled locks or long straight centre parts not only give your face an instant slimming effect but is a girly chic look perfect for the season and for sheer maxi skirts.

If you have a chance to come by Bondi Junction, Australia - our Director of Buying Stewart Waltron has been featured in a quick little summary for the new season trends in the latest Westfield Shine magazine. He has some great tips for anyone who needs inspiration for new sunglasses for spring/summer 2011: “IN THE FRAME”No longer purely functional, sunglasses are a bona fide fashion accessory. We got the lowdown on the brands and styles to look for from Sunglass Hut Director of buying Stewart Waltron.Colour is a big trend this season. Will we see it in Sunglasses, too?Yes, colour aswell as pattern. D&G has some cute and playful vichy checked styles from it’s “Garden Party” collection. Floral prints are also big this year.Which new brands are you excited about?We are really excited about what’s happening with Miu Miu sunglasses at the moment. The new range is full of items that are going to be snapped up by fashionistas. We think it’s going to be huge for 2012! What classic style do you find yourself returning to?I’m a Ray-Ban aviator nut - everyone should own at least one pair. Any style that can still be number one in the world today, while remaining essentially unchanged since the 30’s, is the definition of classic.Do you have any guidelines for choosing the perfect shape?The most basic rule of thumb I can give is this: choose a pair that is a different shape to your face. So if you have a round face, choose something squared or more angular. If you have square or chiselled features, something a little more rounded will soften your appearance. Remember though, rules are made of be broken, so if it looks good, do it!The Top 3 - Stewart picks the hottest trends in shadesLace at Dolce & Gabbana“This is a great example of how designers can translate the catwalk into the sun category.
