Madeleine Armstrong from Viviens Model Management has been a shining jewel the Australian modeling world. Already she has graced the likes of Jeanswest, Portmans (with Miranda Kerr!), Forever New, Metalicus, Mazda… and has worked with some amazing photographers such as David Yeow, Nic Bentley, Andrew Maccoll, Robert Voltaire, Emily Abba and Monica MIlla.

Recently re-locating to LA and now modeling for US agency Click, I can’t wait to see to see Madeleine shine!

I knew that she LOVES Sunglasses - so I just had get “the haps!”

What are you favourite Ray-Bans?
“My favourite Ray-Bans are the ones I wear all the time. They are Wayfarers and are black with yellow trimming on the inside. I bought them in Boston in 2009 and still wear them today. Everyone always comments on them and asks about them, so props to Ray-Ban for giving me style cred!”

What are you favourite sunglass brands?
“My favourite sunglasses brands are Ray-Ban (duh!) and Chanel”

What sunglasses should everyone own at least 1 pair of?
“Everyone should own at least one pair of Ray-Bans and Chanel sunglasses and the BIGGER, the better!”

He has some great tips for anyone who needs inspiration for new sunglasses for spring/summer 2011:

“IN THE FRAME”

No longer purely functional, sunglasses are a bona fide fashion accessory. We got the lowdown on the brands and styles to look for from Sunglass Hut Director of buying Stewart Waltron.

Colour is a big trend this season. Will we see it in Sunglasses, too?Yes, colour aswell as pattern. D&G has some cute and playful vichy checked styles from it’s “Garden Party” collection. Floral prints are also big this year.

Which new brands are you excited about?We are really excited about what’s happening with Miu Miu sunglasses at the moment. The new range is full of items that are going to be snapped up by fashionistas. We think it’s going to be huge for 2012!

What classic style do you find yourself returning to?I’m a Ray-Ban aviator nut - everyone should own at least one pair. Any style that can still be number one in the world today, while remaining essentially unchanged since the 30’s, is the definition of classic.

Do you have any guidelines for choosing the perfect shape?The most basic rule of thumb I can give is this: choose a pair that is a different shape to your face. So if you have a round face, choose something squared or more angular. If you have square or chiselled features, something a little more rounded will soften your appearance. Remember though, rules are made of be broken, so if it looks good, do it!

How do you go nude without taking your clothes off? Burberry has your answer!

Nudes and light tan colourings have been harmonized with the Burberry label since the luxury fashion house beginnings. And for AW 2011 (Now SS 2011 for us Aussies!) Burberry have released the “Nude” collection of coats, hand bags, shoes and my favourite; sunglasses*! The collection is based on skin colour and some swinging 60’s inspired frames.

If you are a bit shy on bold colours, nude tones contrasted with white, black or grey outfits are an easier colour statement as it’s a neutral tone and more subtle on the eyes!
